**Brand:** Samsonite
**Price Range:** $179 - $319.99 across 6 retailers

## Pros
- Excellent quality and durable construction that stands up well to frequent and heavy travel
- Smooth-rolling spinner wheels make maneuvering easy in airports, planes, trains, and cars
- Spacious interior holds a significant amount, with adjustable straps and a separator flap offering organized packing
- Attractive charcoal color with a unique iridescent finish that stands out on luggage carousels
- Lightweight yet sturdy, ideal for travelers who want something easy to pull and turn
- Water-resistant at seams and expansion fabric, providing good protection against rain
- Handles, wheels, locks, zippers, and telescoping handles maintain functionality after extensive use
- Comes with a 10-year warranty, which gives confidence in long-term durability
- Expansion zippers allow for extra packing space without compromising closure
- Proven longevity with reports of bags lasting multiple years and thousands of miles traveled

## Cons
- The dark, shiny finish shows scratches and scuffs easily, so a protective cover is recommended for appearance-conscious users
- Heavy loads (over about 50 lbs) can be tougher to manage smoothly due to the bag’s size and weight dynamics
- The large checked bag lacks an additional bottom grip, which can make lifting cumbersome when fully packed
- Occasional minor issues like an isolated liner seam rip have been reported, possibly related to uneven packing pressure
- The carry-on version reportedly lacks a side handle, making it awkward to carry up and down stairs (less relevant for this 28-inch checked bag)
- Scratches and corner dents may appear but usually pop back into shape and can be cleaned off fairly easily
